Today we’re excited to introduce Autopilot, the next evolution of Basedash.

Autopilot is an AI agent that proactively analyzes your data, finds the most important insights, and automatically surfaces them to your team.

Autopilot is a major upgrade to Reports, a beta feature many of our customers have been using for the past few months.

What began as a simple scheduled summary tool is now an autonomous, always-on partner that helps you understand what’s happening in your business and why.

Why we built Autopilot

Most companies still make decisions reactively. You notice a trend, someone asks a question, and then you dig into dashboards, SQL or Python to figure out what’s going on.

This workflow reacts too late. By the time you’re looking for answers, you may already have lost users, revenue, or momentum that earlier insight could have saved.

Instead of waiting for questions, Autopilot continually scans your connected data sources and highlights the insights that deserve your attention. You don’t need to define dashboards, run analysis, or even know what you’re looking for.

How Autopilot works

Autopilot runs on a schedule you define: daily, weekly, monthly, or anything in between. Each cycle, it:

  1. Analyzes your connected data sources
  2. Identifies patterns, anomalies, and correlations
  3. Summarizes the most important insights
  4. Suggests concrete next steps
  5. Delivers the report via email or Slack

It’s like having a product manager who understands your business deeply, checks everything constantly, and tells you only what matters.

How teams are using Autopilot

Teams of all sizes already use Autopilot for:

  • Weekly company summaries. A clear overview of what changed across product, growth, and revenue.
  • Daily onboarding and activation insights. Where users are dropping off, which actions correlate with retention, and what to adjust next.
  • Sales and revenue performance. Pipeline health, conversion patterns, and leading indicators of growth.
  • Retention and churn analysis. Trends that impact long-term health, explained in plain language.
  • Automated GitHub changelogs. Merged PRs summarized and delivered to your team automatically.
  • KPI monitoring and anomaly detection. Alerts that come with explanations.

You can customize Autopilot for any metrics, funnels, or workflows you care about.

How Basedash uses Autopilot

We originally built Autopilot for ourselves. As a small team with no full-time data analyst or PM, we wanted an autonomous agent that could guide our roadmap.

It worked better than we expected.

By acting on Autopilot’s recommendations, we increased our product activation rate 10x, from 5% to over 50%. Many of the insights it surfaced were ones we’d never have considered investigating manually.

This is why we believe the future of analytics is both self-serve and proactive, with insights that reach you before you think to look for them. Autopilot is a major step toward that future.

There’s more to come. We’re building a world where analytics works for you instead of the other way around, and we can’t wait to see what insights Autopilot uncovers for your company.
